Privacy Policy

Overview

CalcRegistry is a free collection of browser-based calculators, converters, and reference tools. We built it with privacy as a core principle: every calculation runs entirely on your device, and we do not collect, store, or transmit personal data.

Information we do not collect

CalcRegistry does not require accounts, sign-ups, or logins. We do not collect:

  • Names, email addresses, or contact details
  • Financial, health, or any other personal data entered into calculators
  • Location data or device identifiers

Local processing

All calculations are performed using JavaScript running in your web browser. The numbers you enter never leave your device. There is no server-side processing of calculator inputs or results.

Cookies and local storage

CalcRegistry may use your browser's localStorage to remember UI preferences (such as red-light mode or unit selections) so they persist between visits. We do not use cookie-based advertising services.

Google Analytics sets cookies (e.g., _ga, _ga_*) to distinguish unique visitors and track session activity. These cookies contain randomly generated identifiers—not personal information. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Third-party services

The site loads the following external resources:

  • Google Analytics — We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site (e.g., which calculators are most popular, how long sessions last). GA4 collects anonymized usage data including pages visited, approximate geographic region, browser type, and device category. It does not collect the values you enter into calculators. Data is processed by Google under its Privacy Policy.
  • Google Fonts — The Inter and IBM Plex Mono typefaces are loaded from Google's font CDN. Google may log standard web-server access information (IP address, browser type) when serving these files. See Google Fonts Privacy.
  • Hosting provider — Our hosting provider may collect standard server logs (IP address, request URL, timestamp) for security and uptime monitoring. These logs are not used for tracking or profiling.

Analytics

CalcRegistry uses Google Analytics 4 to collect aggregate, anonymized usage statistics. This helps us understand which tools are most useful and where to focus improvements. Google Analytics may collect:

  • Pages visited and time spent on each page
  • Approximate geographic region (country/city level, derived from IP address)
  • Browser type, operating system, and device category (desktop, mobile, tablet)
  • Referral source (how you arrived at the site)

Google Analytics does not collect the numbers or values you type into any calculator. Your calculator inputs remain entirely local to your browser. We do not enable Google Advertising features, User-ID tracking, or any remarketing integrations.

Children's privacy

CalcRegistry is a general-purpose reference tool and does not knowingly collect any information from children or any other users.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of CalcRegistry after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
