Calculator data (stays on your device)

All calculations run in JavaScript in your web browser. The numbers you type into any calculator or converter are not sent to CalcRegistry, Google Analytics, or ad partners for targeting. There is no server-side processing of calculator inputs or results.

We do not offer accounts or sign-ups, so we do not ask for your name, email, or similar contact details to use the tools.

Optional analytics (only if you consent)

Legal basis: your consent (you can accept or reject in the cookie banner and change your mind via Cookie settings in the footer). Analytics runs only after you accept; if you reject, Google Tag Manager does not load.

When enabled, Google Analytics 4 (GA4), operated by Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC as described in Google's Privacy Policy, may process:

• Pseudonymous online identifiers stored in cookies (e.g., _ga, _ga_*) to distinguish browsers and sessions
• Approximate location such as country or city, inferred from IP address (not GPS)
• Pages viewed, time on page, and referral source (how you reached the site)
• Browser, operating system, screen size, and device category (desktop, mobile, tablet)

We use this information in aggregate to see which tools are used and to improve the site. GA4 is used for measurement, not to target ads based on calculator inputs. Data is processed by Google as our service provider; retention and subprocessors are governed by Google's terms and your GA property settings.

Optional advertising (only if you consent)

CalcRegistry may display third-party ads to help fund the site. When we enable advertising, we expect to use Google AdSense (or similar Google ad products) loaded through Google Tag Manager or directly from Google. Ads are not active until we turn them on and update this policy; when they are live, they will run only if you consent to advertising cookies in our banner (or a more detailed preference center if we offer one).

Legal basis: your consent for non-essential ad cookies and related processing in the UK/EEA. Where required, we may show non-personalized ads without consent; if we do, we will say so here.

If you consent to advertising, Google and its partners may:

• Set cookies or use similar technologies for ad delivery, frequency capping, and measurement (see How Google uses cookies in advertising)
• Process pseudonymous identifiers, IP-derived approximate location, and device/browser information to show and measure ads
• Combine data from your activity on this site with data from other sites that use Google ad services, subject to your ad settings at Google Ads Settings

Calculator values you enter are not shared with advertisers for targeting. You can withdraw ad consent via Cookie settings or Google's opt-out tools linked in the Cookies section.

Cookies and local storage

CalcRegistry may use your browser's localStorage to remember UI preferences (such as red-light mode or unit selections) so they persist between visits. We also store your cookie consent choices in localStorage so we do not ask again on every page.

Non-essential cookies fall into categories we ask about in the banner:

• Analytics, Google Analytics 4 via Tag Manager (see Optional analytics)
• Advertising, Google AdSense or similar when we enable ads (see Optional advertising)

Today, the banner controls analytics consent. If you accept, we load Google Tag Manager to deploy GA4. If you reject, Tag Manager does not load and analytics cookies are not set. When advertising goes live, we will update the banner so you can accept or reject ad cookies separately or together, and we will configure Google Consent Mode for ad_storage, ad_user_data, and ad_personalization in line with your choices.

You can change your choices anytime via Cookie settings in the footer, or clear site data for CalcRegistry in your browser. For Google analytics and ads, you can also use Google's Analytics Opt-out Add-on and Google Ads Settings.

Third-party services

The site loads the following external resources:

• Google Tag Manager, Loaded only after you consent to analytics. GTM manages scripts such as GA4 in your browser and may pass standard web request data to Google when tags fire. See How Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps and Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google Analytics (via Tag Manager), Loaded only after you consent to analytics. See Optional analytics for what GA4 may process. Calculator inputs are not sent to Google.
• Google AdSense, When we enable display advertising, AdSense may load after you consent to advertising cookies. See Optional advertising. Subject to AdSense program policies and Google's privacy terms.
• Google Fonts, The Inter and IBM Plex Mono typefaces are loaded from Google's font CDN. Google may log standard web-server access information (IP address, browser type) when serving these files. See Google Fonts Privacy.
• Hosting provider, See Hosting and server logs.

Hosting and server logs

Our hosting provider may process IP addresses, requested URLs, and timestamps in server logs for security, abuse prevention, and reliability. We do not use these logs to profile visitors or merge them with analytics data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including the UK and EEA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data, to withdraw consent (including for analytics and advertising cookies), to object to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Because we do not operate user accounts, we may not be able to identify you from analytics or ad data alone; Google provides tools to manage data it holds. Children's privacy

CalcRegistry is a general-purpose site not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through calculators. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us via the contact form, please reach out so we can delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of CalcRegistry after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
